Gaumont Palace Barnstable
Photograph of the auditorium of the Gaumont Palace taken with the effect of the interior lighting, the walls were rather plain. Below a ‘GP’ monogram the proscenium concealed cove lighting steps down to the screen, here with the screen curtains closed, showing the outer house curtains open. Barnstable was to be the smallest of the four Gaumont Palaces that Architect Percy Bartlett was to construct for Gaumont-British.
