Alamo Drafthouse New Mission Cinema
In 1932, architect Timothy Pflueger transformed the mission with its new exterior and 70ft blade sign (exterior drawing at left) into the “new” Mission Theatre on December 23, 1932 with “The Conquerors” (ad at right).

The ‘New Mission Theatre’ is still open today in San Francisco CA. 35mm/70mm projectors in the large downstairs cinema with curtains that work plus brand new Barco projectors. New seats coming soon. Great ‘Drafthouse’ pre show entertainment before the show. The best and few live projectionists in the booth in SF my friend Jim Cassedy.
