Photo Rosemary Margan - Rosemary was a high-profile Australian media personality and champion water-skier.

She was best known for her long-standing role as a presenter and “weather girl” on Melbourne television along with her association to the Plaza Theatre Bendigo.

Ken and Rosemary Margan were prominent figures associated with the Plaza Theatre in Bendigo during the 1960s and 1970s. While historical accounts frequently identify Ken as the theatre’s manager rather than its outright owner, the couple’s involvement was a defining part of the venue’s local legacy.

Ken Margan was a well-known local personality, remembered by patrons for his Sunbeam Alpine sports car. In addition to his theatre management, Ken was the club professional at the Bendigo Golf Club.

Rosemary Margan was a high-profile Australian media personality and champion water skier. She was best known for her long-standing role as a presenter and “weather girl” on Melbourne television, particularly on Channel 9, often appearing alongside Graham Kennedy on In Melbourne Tonight.

Connection to the Plaza: Before her television fame, Rosemary lived in Bendigo and worked as a hairdresser at View Point and Barnard Street. She met Ken at the Plaza when working as an usherette and they would ultimately marry.

Rosemary Margan died December 5, 2017 (aged 80) Rosemary was married to her second husband, Ross Mitchell, at the time of her death. Rosemary is buried alongside her daughter (Actress) Cathy Godbold at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery

Kenneth Vincent (Ken) Margan died on October 22, 2012, in Bendigo, Victoria. He was the first husband of Australian media personality Rosemary Margan.

Tribute - BERT NEWTON and Pete Smith led the tributes to Rosemary Margan at the time of her death aged 80 following a battle with cancer. Margan was one of Melbourne’s most beloved presenters working alongside Newton and Graham Kennedy on television and later making a major impact on radio.
