That’s the 1966 architectural sketch of the Jackson Square Mall Plaza regional mall. Between the 1966 and the 1967 draft, the plans looked to have been downsized into a Phase 1 and Phase 2 proposal. Zayre was the anchor for the project. The cinema joined in about a year after the plaza opened. And a Phase 2 expansion was taking place as the cinema left… followed by Zayre which essentially tanked the center’s future.
