Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-in De Grey Drive, Goldsworthy, WA
Robert Edwards writes - The Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-In opened in 1967. Goldsworthy was the first of the closed mining in the Pilbara at the end of the Port Hedland - Goldsworthy Railway. 250 people could sit on the canvas deckchairs, and cars could park behind the seats. Sound provided by loudspeakers.
The Gardens and Drive-In closed when the town closed in the early 1990s, and the area returned to bush. The Goldsworthy iron ore mine is still operating.
