The Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-In opened in(1967?). Goldsworthy was the first of the closed mining in the Pilbara at the end of the Port Hedland - Goldsworthy Railway. 250 people could sit on the canvas deckchairs, and cars could park behind the seats. Sound provided by loudspeakers. The Gardens and Drive-In closed when the the town closed in the early-1990’s and the area returned to bush. The Goldsworthy iron ore mine is still operating.

Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-in was located on the north side of De Grey Drive(near the Goldsworthy Mining Office).
The train line from Port Hedland(about 110km away to the west of Goldworthy) passed behind the Goldsworthy Gardens and Drive-in.
