The historic building shown in the photograph is the former Playhouse Theatre (later operating as the Playhouse Adult Cinema) located at 1852 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Originally opened on August 8, 1925, as the open-air Patio Theatre for vaudeville and silent films, it was enclosed and converted into an indoor theater in 1928.
It transitioned to screening adult films in October 1966 before eventually closing as a cinema in May 1973, later seeing use as a live dinner theater and sports bar.
The structure features a classic Mediterranean/Spanish-influenced facade with arched upper window details characteristic of 1920s atmospheric and neighborhood theater architecture.
