The Lou Morris Cinema Circuit also engaged Eugene Mollo architectural designer to completely redesign the Carlton interior. The Carlton was to be the first of four cinemas that Mollo & Egan completed with Architect J. O. Bond which opened 17th December 1934. Followed in 1937 by three more, Gaumont High Street Watford on 3rd May. Majestic Bridgnorth on 22nd November and Odeon North Watford 27th November. This last cinema had the most outstanding auditorium of all Bond’s seventeen cinemas.
