Raymond F. Smith rendering of P.G. Cameron’s Airway theater that opened August 11, 1940. Its close proximity to Love Field suggested a conceptual name of the Love Field Theater that was the Airway at opening. The $50,000 suburban opened with Ann Sheridan’s “It All Came True.”
