Rita Theatre
The Columbia was one of the Foy Neighborhood Circuit’s first theaters. At left, the Columbia and the other three Foy theaters at the time begin a policy of first-run theaters all playing the same day, time and date. The chain doubled in size from the end of the 1910s to the early 1920s. At bottom right is the ad from May 19, 1929 when the Columbia went to Vitaphone sound disc so audiences could experience talking pictures.
