If you loved showmanship, the Avenue – and even the Guild as an adult theater at this location – provided it. Be it live singers, strange promotions or tie-ins, the Avenue Theater had them. To go with “The Spiritualists,” you got live demons on the stage, voices from the dead, and audience members carried to the stage by ghosts. With “Street with no Name” you got to meet the world’s greatest psychologist, Kirma aka “The Human Lie Detector” and as him questions during his traveling show.
