Boxoffice, March 23, 1970: “Drive-Ins which have been transferred include: … Reynolds, Transfer, from Marshall and Roed to Mike Wellman”
Boxoffice, June 4, 1949: Reynolds Drive-In near Transfer, Pa., has installed an electric clock on the large screen tower. This clock, facing the highway, has a six-foot dial, with neon-lighted hands and figures. Carl T. McKnight and Carl C. Blake, owners of the theatre, will run advertising lines on the clock such as: “For the Correct Time and Your Best Time Look to the Picture Tower of the Reynolds Drive-In Theatre.”
Is that 4 doors underneath the screen(with a smiley face emoji on one of them?)?
Is that picture the new screen?
The Reynolds Drive-In should be changed back to Open. Grand re-opening for movies was on May 6, 2022
The Reynolds Drive-In screen tower blew down Nov 15,2020. Hopefully they are going put up a new screen tower.
It is my understanding that the Reynolds Drive-In will be re-opening in 2020! This is excellent news!
1947 photo added credit William Cowan. Opened in 1944 if 2014 was their 70th year.
