Located midway between Paola and Osawantomi, KS. The Midway Drive-In opened in 1952. This single screen drive-in has a capacity for 240 cars. It was reported closed in September 2018, but reopened for the 2019 season on May 24.

The Midway Drive-In has made the conversion to digital projection.
A KCTV story from 2013 said the Midway opened in 1953. The 1952 Theatre Catalog didn’t list it, but the 1955 edition did.
All Catalog and IMPA references to the Midway assign it to Osawatomie, but as jwmovies noted, it claims a Paola address.

Boxoffice, Oct. 27, 1956: “Bob Fellers, manager of Mid-Central Theatres, reports negotiations are under way for the circuit to dispost of some of its fringe theatres. Allied Theatres, Inc., of Perry, Okla., will take over on November 9 … the Mid-Way Drive-In between (Paola and Osawatomie). James McKenna, the son of B. J. McKenna at Manley, Inc., will have charge of the operation.”
Boxoffice, Nov. 18, 1950: “PAOLA, KAS. - In hopes of an early lifting of the federal ban on amusement building, the Griffith Theatre Enterprises, owners of the Paola and Osawatomie Theatres, have purchased ten acres of land near here for a drive-in.”
