Zorn Theater

The Zorn Theater was opened on February 8, 1928 with Mrs. Maurice Reid in “The Satin Woman”. This theater shows movies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. At other times it is used for plays and meetings.

Listed as operating in Film Daily yearbooks that I have; 1941, 1943, 1950.

In 2008 the Zorn was used for musical performances. Perhaps that should be an added function.

Boxoffice, Aug. 13, 1979: “Marvin Sigwing is closing the Zorn Theatre, Benkleman (sic), Neb. Sigwig had operated the theatre for the past 14 years and has sold the house to a group of local merchants. It has not been determined whether the new owners will reopen the facility as a theatre on a regular basis or as a community art-type center.”
