That should be 1982, not 1981
I was born a few weeks after this theater opened.
That was the day I got married.
Luxury? This theater had no recliners back then but had comfy seats that were replaced with rocking seats during the 1997 renovation that expanded the 8 screens to 14. It’s time for AMC to renovate the theater in order to compete against cinemark’s 12 screen complex across the street from this theater.
Fortunoff’s is no longer open yet this theater still operates to this date.
