The Hollywood Theatre opened March 13, 1968. It has been used by several organizations since it closed, including a branch of the University of Oklahoma library. In January 2016 it became a fitness center.

January 2016: The former Hollywood Theatre – home to movies, a short run as a live music venue in the 1990s (Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers played there), storage for the University of Oklahoma – is now Koda Crossfit Norman, an exercise facility. New pics in the Photo section.
The manager here during the early 80s used to have an 8X10 color picture of himself on his office wall at the Universal Studios/E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL tour attraction riding the ‘floating’ bicycle with ET in the milk-crate basket.
Did a little digging ad learned the Hollywood Theatre opened on March 13, 1968. A Man For All Seasons, winner of six Oscars, was the debut feature. New pictures in the Photo section.
I remember seeing not only Pumpkinhead, the movie, here, but also the Smashing Pumpkins in concert.
