The Star Theatre was located on E. Franklin Street near Alvarado Street. It was open roughly from 1915. Other than some advertising cards on Monterey streetcars of the day, nothing is known about the Star Theatre including its exact address. Newspaper accounts only say it was located on E. Franklin Street near Alvarado Street. By 1926 it was operated by T & D Jr. Enterprises.

Hi. It ran silent movies. My mother, born in Monterey in 1896 played the piano there. I was told she would practice in the afternoon for the evening show. Jim
