1929 sketch of the auditorium viewed from the prompt side of the Front Stalls, shows the magnificent central chandelier hanging from the domed coffered ceiling of filigreed gold. The State’s Louis XVI style fan shaped auditorium 128 ft. wide and 112 ft. deep was decorated in cream, rose and gold.
