The Cove Theatre in the Red Fork neighborhood launched for operator Joe Noble on August 18, 1946 with Maureen O'Hara in “Do You Love Me?” Cove Confections next door served as the venue’s de facto concession stand. The theater ended up on the tax roster in 1948 though secured new operators in John and Opal Gray that same year. Its final ad was on March 25, 1956 with “T?he Last Frontier” and “The Finger Man” likely ending the Cove’s run. Demolished.

Boxoffice, May 1, 1948: “The neighborhood Cove Theatre in western Tulsa has been purchased from Joe B. Noble by John and Opal Gray, operators of the Pix in Chickasha and Star in Sand Springs. The change in management took place April 1. Operations at the Cove and the Star are being handled by John Gray. Mrs. Gray is managing the Pix and other business interests in Chickasha.”

Shown on below web site is an interesting night shot of the Cove Theater. Obviously the Cove catered to teen age taste.
