The Variety Theater opened in 1907 in the Kensington neighborhood on E. Kensington Avenue at S. Prairie Avenue. It was renamed Verdi Theater in 1913 and remained in operation until 1951. Today the site of the theater is a large vacant lot.

This opened as the Variety Theatre in 1907. It was re-named Verdi Theatre in 1913. It closed in 1951.
