OK I see the Cox’s Theatre page now. I will swap the Cox photos over later today. Meanwhile, the Cinematour link has 1995 and 2011 photos of the Penn Theater prior to demolition.

The ‘park’ is really sad. A tiny spot of space next to a parking lot, where you can hang out at an intersection and look at the traffic light box and a few scruffy buildings.
I was there over Memorial Day 2013, and had no idea there was a part of town all the way at the bottom of the hill!

The theatre has since been demolished and the town is putting a “park” on the site.
Ken Lehman former customer….
I remember as a kid going to the Penn. The man who worked the door always wore a suit, he was thin and pretty quiet. He would always let me in to see “R” rated movies even though I was only about 12 or 13. I was a big kid and kept to myself and came alone.
Later on, the theater showed “X” rated films before closing up for good. I loved that place, saw a lot of movies there. Also went to the “STRAND” in Scottdale for years as well.
If anyone wants some pictures of the Penn theater I’ll email them to you.
