A closer address is 1236 S Ralls Hwy, Floydada, TX.
The address places it right on the property. The drive-in was intact in a 1996 aerial, but was screen was gone by 2004.
Today, it appears to be private property with the projection booth/concession stand still intact. You can also clearly see the ramps.
The Floyd County newspaper shows that Claude Estes bought the Capada Drive-in Theatre on the Ralls Highway from Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Mount no October 31, 1963. The Capada will close every Tuesday night to give the employees a night off. In 1976, Claude Estes sold the Capada Drive-in Theatre to Larry Williams who operated the theatre until 1985.

Motion Picture Exhibitor, July 25, 1962: “Amos Page, who operates the Avalon and Derby, McLean, Tex., and who recently took over the operation of the Capada Drive-In, Floydada, Tex., is moving his family from McLean to Floydada.”
Why the name Capada?
Approximate address according to Google is 1228 S Ralls Hwy, Floydada, TX. The drive-in sat away from the road on the west side.
Today, it is private property and you can still see the ramps. http://tinyurl.com/jgunqay
From the 1980s a photo of the Capada Drive-In Theater.
Approx. location for this drive-in was just north of County Road 260 on U.S. 62. The theatre was west of the highway.
So much for eternal vigilance.
Certainly. I finally did see all of Ghandi with Ben Kingsley years later. I swear I went to the Capada to see it but something caused the windows to fog up!
Loved the Capada. It was still showing first-run movies in the early 1980’s. Was full on the weekends. Owners were ready to retire/move and no one would buy it. Too bad. For a while it was the only drive-in open in the region excepting the one in Lamesa. I saw many, many movies there on many, many dates (well, I saw parts of many movies!)
