The Bijou closed its location in the Iowa Student Union building at the end of summer 2013. It now offers programming in conjunction with FilmScene in downtown Iowa City, which opened in fall of 2013.
The Bijou was screening some films for free last month:

This isn’t a standalone theater, but a student-run organization of the University of Iowa that screens art films in a ballroom in the student union builiding.
