If you rotate the photo above so your looking East on Commerce, I’m trying to figure out what the building is on the right, with the Creamish colored facade. At the top center, it states TRAVIS.. It sure looks like the possibility of being a Theatre to me. OR is this just wishful thinking? The 1936 photo above was also in a book of Jacksonville photos, with the following caption:

This theater on West Commerce Street in Jacksonville was the B-movie facility and superseded the Claire Theater a block east on the same street. The Rialto was operated to show second-run movies, which had been presented earlier in the Palace Theater, the chain’s lead theater in Jacksonville. The Rialto closed around 1960.
