On December 4, 1955 through December 7, 1955, Elvis Presley appeared live at the Lyric Theatre in Indianapolis. Other notes - Frank Sinatra made his debut on the stage of the Lyric. “Sound of Music” played for more than a year at the Lyric which was the premiere road show house in town. And it made it all the way to April 29, 1969 before being razed in February and March of 1970.
