The Grand Theatre

It is possible that this operated as the Roxy Theatre in the 1940’s? IT was operated by Affiliated Theaters, a subsidiary of McLendon Theatres. By 1950 it was operated by the CO-AT-CO Theaters chain. It was closed in 1995.

Several years ago my mother and I were traveling up the old route from Atlanta to the Dillard House and rode throug Cornelia. The Grand theater had been demolished.

Does anybody know about a drive-in theater in Cornelia that stayed open until the Grand reopened?

@JFBrantley….the Cornelia Drive-In was on Stonecypher Street off of Camp Creek Road. It was demolished many years ago.
