Bow-Tie Movieland 7

Movieland was opened by B.S. Moss Enterprises in 1993, in the Orchard Plaza shopping center. It is a freestanding building that opened as a fiveplex. In 2000, two more stadium seating screens were added. The theater is the only multiplex serving the Roaring Fork Valley between Aspen and Glenwood Springs.

B.S. Moss Enterprises, once the largest independent exhibitor in the NYC metro area, is now known as Bow-Tie Cinemas. Bow-Tie Cinemas is also the owner/operator of the Criterion Cinemas in New Haven, CT, and has several locations under construction. The Bow-Tie Movieland 7 was closed on January 22, 2026.
