The Saluda Theater is in great shape and is open! It now seats 274 patrons, and is home to the Saluda Players, a live community theater group. It sits directly across from the county courthouse.

Classic movie theater, I took a tour several years ago, it has amazingly keep it’s 40' and 50’s look. The interior as well as the exterior has changed very little. Saluda uses the theater for a variety of events. The marquee and the ticket booth are special and you gotta love the Indian head on the facade.
Drove by there about a year ago, looks 100% better.Sidney Poitier,I think shot a movie there “SEPARATE BUT EQUAL” I think it shows the SALUDA theatre in the movie.
Here’s a 2007 view of the SALUDA: http://www.boxsetgallery.com/stein/index4.html
