The Cavendish Drive-In was located in the east end of Cavendish, Prince Edward Island. I believe the road is Simpson Mill Road, but I may be mistaken. It opened in the early-1980’s and operated into the mid-1990’s. It was closed on and off near the end due to declining attendance. The Cavendish Drive-In did not have the same appeal as the other drive-in in nearby Brakley Beach.
The Cavendish Drive-In had a long and narrow parking area, so only the cars closer to the front got a good seat. I’m not sure how many cars it would have accommodated, but I wouldn’t think much more than 100.
They have now built cottages on the site which are rented out to tourists.
