The Sky-Vu Drive-In opened in 1950 and is owned by Mr. K. Ellis. The single screen drive-in has a 400 car capacity and is operated from May through September. The Sky-Vu Drive-In was closed as the end of the 2015 season. The screen was demolished in May 2021.

The Sky Vue Drive-In did not reopen in 2016. Its future is uncertain, as the operators are still attempting to raise funds for a digital projector. The same operators run the Motor Vue, also in Idaho Falls, which was open in 2016 running 35mm films.
it has since been demolished.

the other one in town that closed appears to be getting demolished to sadly! although it was just the outer fence that was torn down and the city hasn’t confirmed that it is going to be demolished!

The comment by dansdriveintheater is actually referring to a different theater in Twin Falls. As of November 2020, the Sky-Vu in Idaho Falls is still standing, but will likely be gone by spring 2021 as a new owner has announced plans for an RV resort on the site.
