When the Plaza was equipped for 70mm Todd-AO, it was renamed the Paris. It lost none of its comfort and the huge screen image was impressive, but I can’t help feeling that it lost a good deal of its atmosphere. The old Plaza proscenium can be seen peeping over the top of the new curtain tracking.
