First International Theatres opened the University 10 Cinemas in late-1995. It is located in the college town of Warrensburg. Seating is listed at 1,825. Showed first run attractions. Movies were shown once nightly with matinees on weekends, holidays and during the summer. Later taken over by Carmike Cinemas it became the University 8 Cinemas.
Closed on July 16, 2009.

Actual closing date is July 16, 2009.
This started life as the University 10 Cinemas, and opened its doors by First International Theatres in late-1995 (according to a May 1995 article released by the Kansas City Star). It probably downgraded to eight screens and became the University 8 Cinemas right after Carmike took the theater over.
