Apex Cinemas

Carmike opened the Cinema 6 in 1987 before the stadium seating became the big hit. The Cinema 6 features first run attractions in the typical older Carmike style theatre. Taken over by AMC in March 2017, it was closed August 3, 2017.

In late-2017 it was taken over by Epic Cinemas and was reopened, with plans to expand to 10 screens in 2018. In March 2019 it was renamed Apex Cinemas.

They are in major financial problems. They have cut out all their shows before 4pm in most markets.

Reopened as the Epic Cinema late in 2017 and would expand to 10 screen in 2018. The new website is http://www.epiccinemas.com
