The Historic Pelham website gives the following information on the Happy Land Theater:
“Pelham’s first movie theatre was called the ‘Happy Land’. Located on the West side of 5th Avenue opposite 7th Street, moviegoers in 1918 sat on board seats after paying a five cents admission fee”.
