A September 2023 Google Street View shows the drive-in being used as a gravel dump.

The screen has been consumed by vines.

The theater was still operating in the late-1980s but was already closed either by or in the 1990s. The screen still stands as of 2025 despite the panels being missing.

  • Apple Maps placed the location wrong. I don’t know why the marker was placed near Greenwood, Indiana, and not Clanton, Alabama.

The Clanton Drive-In Opened Its Gates On October 15th, 1949 With The Pride Of The Yankees. The Clanton Was Still In Operation In 1963.

The Clanton Drive-In was reopened as S&H Mobile Homes. That business closed in 2010. The projection house and snack box was torn down and all the speakers/posts are gone. See article – http://jj-maccrimmon.livejournal.com/811164.html
