40 years later Ralph is still trying to clean all of those dirty dishes that Joe Buck left with him at Miller’s Restaurant.

Okay, just was going by what the Humane Society’s address was on the property.

5714 I-20 Frontage Rd Big Spring, TX 79720 Is the correct address.

5710 puts you are wrong side of the road.

Uploaded aerial from 1965..it looks it is a twin when first opened and later on it is just a single.

Maybe a better address might be 5710 W. I-20. The Big Spring Humane Society is on the back part of the drive in property.

My brother and I lived in Texas in the summer of 1991 & one day we went looking for this drive in, Midnight Cowboy was our favorite movie. Never did find it, but we found Big Springs Hardware, which Joe Buck walks by at the beginning. The owner of the hardware store said that Jon Voight and some of the crew were amazed that you could walk in any store there and purchase a gun just like anything else with no problems!

Here’s a photo after it was renamed BIG TEX DRIVE-IN. The landscape behind the screen looks really desolate. This drive-in is apparently long gone.

Still barely, barely visible, but there was an old drive-in ½ mile West of the airport in I-20.
