It Christmas Day 1964 and General Cinema Corporation is just outside the North Star Mall with the grand opening of a new “twin screen” cinema: Cinema I with 1,000 seats and Cinema II with 600 seats and – according to articles – ability to run Todd A/O widescreen. They launched with “The Pleasure Seekers” and “The Disorderly Orderly.”
