The Princess Theatre was a secondary theatre to Sanford’s principal theatre, the Ritz Theatre. It was operated by Paramount Picture Inc. through their subsidiary E.J. Sparks and opened prior to 1941 when it was listed as (Closed). Still closed in 1943, it had reopened by 1950 operated by Florida State Theaters Inc.

The Princess has been partially restored and is now host to community theatre productions. The productions are presented by Creative Sanford, Inc. “Touch and Go,” a history of Sanford, will be presented again during October and November, 2011. Call 407-314-6750 for more information.
The Princess Theatre is closed and the building is being advertised for sale.
