Located on Street 17 in the center of Bogota, this large independently operated cinema last operated as an adult movie theatre. It was closed in the mid-2000’s and has been converted into a University lecture theatre.

Lived in Bogota, Colombia in 1954-1966. Remember seeing a film about Nicolo Paganini (the violinist) there. Cine ElDorado was a fine (first run) movie house in those years. On Sunday mornings ElDorado would hold a special show for children consisting of cartoons. Children in attendance would also be able to win prizes. Thank you much for featuring cine ElDorado. You brought me fond memories of those years.
There was a Mogadore Theater with 1300 seats that opened in Bogota in October 1947. It might be an earlier version of this theater.
Mogador Theater became a venue for music shows under the new name óf ‘Downtown Majestic
