The 275-seat Star Theatre was opened by 1926. It was closed in the early-1930’s and reopened as the Madelia Theatre in 1933. It was rebuilt in 1940.

This became the Medelia Theatre in 1933. Prior to that it was known as the Star Theatre and goes back as far as 1926.
Another likely rebuild. Boxoffice of February 10, 1940 had this item: “Madelia — The new Madelia has been opened by Bernard L. Larkin.” FDY’s from 1931 and 1932 list no theaters at Madelia, but the 1929 edition lists the Star Theatre with 275 seats.
