It looks a delightful little cinema and I hope that it continues to attract healthy audiences.

They do not feature the organ no, if you want a traditional style cinema that still does, we are extremely blessed in Lincolnshire with the stoutly traditional Kinema In the Woods.
Nevertheless, Loewen Cinema is a great small two screen cinema with some fairly recent much needed upgrades now in place.
Before the seating and legroom seemed rather poor, and the equipment aging, but within the past 3-4 years the seating has all been modernised and there is ample leg room for the taller cinema goer (I am 6 foot 5)
The cinema also now has modern digital 3D equipment plus air conditioning that actually works properly. It has a medium sized main screen, with a small and cosy second screen akin to a large home theatre.
The lobby (if you can call it that) is tight and confined, but mainly because it is filled with movie paraphernalia, DVDs for sale, posters, models and the like.
Prices are very cheap (typically £4.50 to £5.50- for 3D!) Midweek afternoon showings usually come with a freebie drink to boot, despite the fact you pay pittance to enter. Refreshments are also pretty reasonable, unlike most places.
If you want that small old cinema style feel, avoiding the huge corporate chains and their inflated prices but really want 3D and crisp modern digital performances- this is a very good place to visit, check it out.
