I have lots of memories of the old State Theater. in he early 50’s while still in school I was given the job of putting up posters for the coming attractions and also changing the marquee to show what movies were playing. I also cleaned the theater after the last show at night. later on I was taught how to run the projectors. I did this also. The projection room had two Simplex machines. The nice thing was that I got to see all the movies free and getting paid for it. I have many stories of my times working there. I worked until I joined the Coast Guard
