Modern multiplex cinema complex - One of the two primary cinema complexes for the Champaign-Urbana region. It was opened as a 12-screen theatre in December 1995. It was expanded to 18-screens in 1999. It was closed and demolished in 2012, to build a new multiplex on the site.

Contacted them for there concession stand and they said that it won’t be torn down for another year. So I gave them my name and number…we’ll see how thi plays out…
The old building is completely down and the new one looks massive from the outside. There is a bit of work to go but it should be impressive when finished.
The Beverly was opened by GKC Theaters in December, 1995, as a 12 screen house. It was expanded to 18 screens in 1999. Carmike acquired the venue in 2005. The six-screen addition was demolished in 2012 so that construction on the replacement project could begin, but the original 12 screen theater was kept operating until mid-February, 2013.
