The Auto Drive-In was located along Route 8 in Cherrytree Township, PA. It opened June 13, 1950, when the operators were Sam Yakish, and Stearn-Hanna Co-Operative Theatre Services. It ran family friendly fare until the mid-1970’s and then ran more adult oriented material until it closed in the late-1970’s/early-1980’s. It is currently a lumber yard. The screen serves as part of the barrier to Route 8.

It’s way South of Titusville, just North of Cherrytree, PA. Remove everything from the Google search in the map link, and just try Cherrytree, PA and it gets you there.
Here’s the Auto Drive-In just North of town, Around 3000 block of Hwy 8.

There seems to be some confusion. The drive-in is indeed on Hwy 8 between the towns, but it not in Cherry Tree OR Titusville. Hwy 8 does not run through Cherry Tree, only north and east of it.
Cherry Tree and Cherrytree are 2 different towns.
Opened June 13, 1950 with “12:00 High”
From the Sept. 10, 1955 issue of Billboard:
“Sam Yakish Jr. has purchased the Auto Drive-In, Titusville, Pa., from Art Kunes.”
Boxoffice, Oct. 13, 1958: “Sam Yakish, Titusville outdoor exhibitor, who visited (Pittsburgh) Filmrow, said he and Mrs. Yakish will be returning soon to their Bethel Park home for the winter. During the outdoor season they reside in their apartment in the screen tower of their Auto Drive-In.”
