The Rivoli Theatre was opened prior to 1925. It was listed in the 1932 edition of Film Daily Yearbook with 600 seats. However it had been renamed Matawan Theatre from November 2, 1931 with 300 seats. Listed in the 1944, 1945, 1951, and 1956 Film Daily Yearbooks.
