The Teatro Normandie was located east of the downtown area. It was a large cinema which screened mainly American made films.

Designed in a splendid Art Deco style it opened in the early-1940’s.

In 1982 it was in operation as the first home of the Cine Arte Normandie and they occupied the building until 1991 when they moved to new premises.
