Additional history credit Jerry Raymond.

“The Rose Theater (named after the wife of C J Goodwin the builder) is a Arts & Crafts style venue that opened on the square in Bastrop, Louisiana on April 5, 1927 intended to accommodate traveling vaudeville shows and feature current SILENT films according to this picture from the Morehouse (parish) Enterprise ! It closed in the 70’s and was REBORN in a community restoration project in 1985 and placed on the National Register of Historical Places on September 8, 1987.”
