I’ve lived in this very area pretty much all my life I was surpised to find out there was another theater in Bellevue at one time.
It was remodeled and reopened as the Studio Theater in 1955.

The Linden was operated by the Browarsky Brothers chain in the early sixties. They also ran the Bellevue at the same time.
The May 5, 1955, issue of Boxoffice has this article about the Studio Theatre/url], which was the Linden Theatre renamed. The article says that the Linden had been closed for nearly five years when it was bought by the Associated circuit in 1955, remodeled, and reopened as the Studio with an art film policy.
The Classic Chevrolet building takes up most of this block. Unknown if this is a remodel of the original theater building.
