Installed inside the old R. J. Massad Building the Rex Theatre was no more than just a simple screening room. Still ticket prices were low, and if the movies were good, then why not …
It was operating from at least 1936 to 1950, and possibly beyond that date.

Somewhere in time the box marquee was removed, and the builing top has been lowered, but the old Rex Theatre still stands bold. Two doors to the right stands the former Mid-West Theatre.
