You could see the theater from the highway. The screen remained after the built the apartments.
Closed on October 19, 1980 with “Cheech And Chong’s Next Movie” and “National Lampoon’s Animal House”.
Site left vacant until 2006.
Rt.130 & Klemm Ave. Gloucester NJ Owned by Redstone Management. Opened in 1948. 2 Simplex E-7 Projectors RCA Sound System Held 942 cars. District Office for Redstone Mgt. Other Drive-In’s owned by Redstone in the area: Atco, Tacony, Starlite Easten and Bethlehem.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 56 Crescent Boulevard.
Heading northbound on Rt130… turn right at Klemm Dr. There is an Apartment complex and the Starlite was located behind the Apartments (Left Side). The property was empty until a few years ago, when a small housing development went in

It was just north of the Brooklawn Circle, I believe.
You could see this theatre from the black horse pike on the way home from Atlantic City.
